When you say all purpose flour, is that just plain flour?? I’ve always used rice flour to make choc cakes and apricot, raisins and walnut cupcakes.
I presume it’s just plain flour as you add baking powder, so that flour would be called self raising flour. Obviously no bi-carb of soda. Looking forward to trying these. I’ve always substituted eggs with bananas in all my cake making, so now I can try apple puree, flax seeds.
Just wanted to be sure with any type of PLAIN FLOUR., which is what it’s called in England, but I live in the Canary Islands and a variety of flours are on sale in the supermarkets. I wanted to get it right.. Have a wonderful Christmas day.🌲πŸ₯§πŸΎπŸ₯‚

They come out so light and fluffy!! This recipe is a great vehicle to try additional flavors (thank you!!) My second go around I used spelt flour in place of all purpose, date sugar in place of the regular sugar, added a dash of vanilla, and I folded in a mashed banana. Served with a drizzle of real maple syrup and toasted walnuts. SO GOOD!!5 stars

You can use 1 regular egg to replace a flax egg.

I’m not vegan, but I’m allergic to dairy products.. So, can I still use eggs in this recipe? how many eggs, instead of the flax-eggs, please? Thank you for all your yummy recipes!

Hi Aurora, it is not supposed to be baking soda, it is supposed to be baking powder. They are very different and not interchangeable at all.

Thanks πŸ™‚
